An exclamation derived from 'god damn,' popularized by Twitch streamers YourRAGE and Kai Cenat. Used to express awe at someone's appearance or just pure hype.
WHAT IS GYATT?
Gyatt is an exclamation that evolved from "god damn" in African-American Vernacular English. Twitch streamer YourRAGE started screaming "GYATT" on stream in 2021 whenever he saw someone attractive, and Kai Cenat ran with it until the whole internet adopted it. It went from a niche Twitch gag to one of the most-searched Gen Z slang terms globally — you'll hear it in school hallways, TikTok comments, and basically anywhere someone is reacting to something (or someone) jaw-dropping.
HOW TO USE IT
●As an exclamation: Shouting "GYATT" when you see someone attractive or something impressive. It's pure, unfiltered reaction energy — the word escapes your mouth before your brain catches up.
●As a noun: Calling someone "a gyatt" means they have an especially curvy or attractive figure. This usage shifted the word from just an exclamation to a descriptor.
●Derivative forms: "Gyatted" (past tense — "I got gyatted in the hallway"), "gyatting" (the act of reacting), and "gyattify" (to make something worthy of a gyatt reaction).
EXAMPLES
●"Bro walked into class and everyone went GYATT 😳"
●"She's giving gyatt energy and she knows it"
●"The way Kai Cenat screams gyatt on stream is actually unhinged"
●"POV: you're trying to explain to your parents what gyatt means"
