WHAT IS LOW TAPER FADE?
A low taper fade is technically a men's haircut where the hair gradually fades shorter from the top of the ears down — but online, that's not what people mean anymore. It became a meta-meme in January 2024 when singer EricDoa did a soulful freestyle of "imagine if Ninja got a low taper fade," and the joke evolved into something way bigger than the haircut: a running gag about Ninja refusing to let the bit die, and a Gen-Z catchphrase used for literally any trend that overstayed its welcome.
